Molvė: an online store concept
An online store for a fictional handmade ceramics brand, from catalogue to checkout. It is a concept, not client work.
Walk through the concept
Molvė is a fictional brand, so everything on these screens is example content. Desktop and phone at the same time.
- Home
A bar about the next batch
At the top, a “New batch out of the kiln” bar with a countdown to the next one. It is example content, showing how a store could announce limited stock.
- Home
A menu built around use
Categories follow how the pieces are used: for coffee and tea, for the table, for the home, sets, and all products. On the right: language, search, account and cart.
- Home
What is sold, in one sentence
The headline “Dishes you'll use every day” and a short line: stoneware mugs, plates and bowls. Two ways on: “View products” and “Sets”. The rating above the headline is example data.
- Home
Three answers in one row
Below the first screen, three short answers to the usual questions about tableware: handmade, dishwasher safe, free of lead and cadmium.
- Phone
On the phone, the photo first
On the phone the bar wraps onto two lines, the menu sits behind a button, and the photo comes before the headline. “View products” spans the full width.

The problem
To show what an online store for a handmade ceramics brand could look like, from catalogue to checkout. The brand is fictional, so this is a concept, not client work.
The solution
We created the brand and the store design, for desktop and phone. The menu follows how the pieces are used: for coffee and tea, for the table, for the home, sets. The first screen says straight away what is sold and what sets it apart.
The result
It is a concept: the design is done, and there is no working store.
What we did
- A fictional brand's identity
- The store design, from catalogue to checkout
- A phone version
